The 2009 - 2010 25 Species Competition has officially kicked off and we want to wish everyone the best in this year's competition. The interest this year is pretty high and we still expect quit a few anglers to join us during the course of the year, especially as summer comes around.
What we have learned about being successful anglers in this competition is that we have to put in an effort and get out to the waters. This was proven by Wep who won last years comp - he spent time fishing and targeted different species. Stef and Namreh, who ended up 2nd and 3rd also spent quite a bit of time fishing, as did most of the anglers that ended in the top 10.
The first 25 Species Competition was a very interesting affair and has proven that this recipe works and provides us all with a fun and exciting format of competing against other anglers. Although we all tried hard to win, there could be only one winner, and here is the results, as well as the prizes won, for the 2008/2009 competition.
