On Saturday 19/06/2010, Herman, Cheslin and myself decided out of frustration and desperation for angling to try the Gordons Bay mountain side. At 07:00 the wind was blowing gale force, so plan B. Strandfontein. Fortunately Herman had Kit Kat II. We decided that due to the nice flat water, it was ideal to try out Herman's super modified new dingel hopper. Eish that's when the fun started.
On the first run the boat capsized for some reason and was taken out by the strong current. We tried to cast over the boat to retrieve it, but no luck. Plan X, off Herman went to find a surfer. After a search we found a surfer who retrieved the boat about 250m out. Right now the hopper is checked and lets try again. First attempt, disaster, the propellor fell off.
Plan XX, slide a bait. All this work made Cheslin, who was already "tied" due to the previous night's soccer, even more tied. He took a nice sleep in his home made sand bed.
At 13:00 with not even a bite, we packed-up.
Desperate times calls for desperate measures, what we won't do to get to the water.
