Cold water means Zebras and Galjoen

Also a few nice Belman on Die Plaat as well as good sized Steenbras.

With the weather not playing along fishing has been tough but those that stuck it out in the windy conditions did get a few fish. This coming weekend is looking a lot better though.

on the left hand side,about 50m from the mouth opening,no pics as my friend caught it who resides in bredasdorp and he`s regulary on that side of the coast(struis/agulhas area)

Hi Guys.

I caught a 10kg cob yesterday afternoon at Argunota Park on bloodwurm.

We had a few bites but only managed to land the one fish

We got 2 small hotties at Die Rasper and 2 pan size steenbras in the bay nextto the harbour. The water was def not looking too bright.

Well done on that cob....

Hi all,

When do the kob and shad/elf normally start running in Struisbaai?
I am literally counting down the days to when I visit Struisbaai area as I didn't get any fishing time in during this winter.

The cob is here all year round but best from Nov - March. Elf starts biting well from Dec onwards till May

Hi Gavs...

Fishing during this winter thus far has been good in the Struisbaai and Arniston area... See pic's attached of some catches thus far... these pic's of the weekend of 3-4 July 2010. Fish caught to the left of De Mond towards Arniston. The walk is a killer though. Bait used - pink prawn and bloodworm combo.

here's some more eye candy. Oh yes I only caught the bigger of the 3 fish. The other two galjoen was caught by a friend of mine. Just in case someone wants to throw the MCM rule book at me...
