Overberg Angling

On Sunday 10/01/2010 Herman and family, PlayOn, Reza, Quinton and family, Ryan, Karen and myself had great fun chasing the sharkies. Initial sunny skies and flat water met us, but as the saying goes only a hour, paid off. In total 9 pick-ups and 4 landed.
Reza landed his personal best bronzie of 124cm and a very small one which we did not measure.
Quinton a bronzie of 108cm.
PlayOn a beauty of a smooth hammerhead of 130cm.
Herman tagged two of the bronzie.

Stef, had mine on. After 45 minutes I lost a big one, check the braid already on the reel.

Stef, I agree, it was the biggest sharkie I have ever fought, it was great fun, a very sore back this morning. Thanks to PlayOn who stood with me the whole time, coaching and throwing water on the braid and reel. This is the secons time I have hooked a big one, I have learnt a lot and am convinced the next time it will be landed.
