A beauty of a Diamond ray 2 Years ago Karma: 2
On Saturday, Wep, Amberjack, Reza and myself entertained three Zimbabwe friends of Wep for a day of fishing. These folk have never been at the sea to catch fish. As luck would be, Wep baited a makriel on a slide and ten minutes later, On Dad. Andrew, the guest angler, struggled for 25 minutes with lots of coaching and encouragement. Eventually we landed her, a 187cm Diamond. Picture time, measured and safely released.
Weight according to SASAA is 60.5kg.
Andrew is the angler kneeling next to me in the brown clothes.

Dennis, we must make a plan before then, a quick trip and we will ensure us get onto one.

Hi Martin, where do yo live in the Cape? my wifes uncle lives close to the cricket stadium in capetown itself,so maybe I can get her to arrange that we go visit there for a week or so,she gets to spend time with her family and I get to go fishing, only problem would be transport to the fishing spots as we would have to fly down to make it worth while.
which months are the best for Angling and what species are targeted in those months, wouldnt mind a biiiiiig bronzie,to stretch the muscles.

Dennis, transport is no problem, that is the least of u worries. From now to May is excellent. Bronzies will be around until end of March maybe middle March.
You let us know and we will sort you out.

Bronzies is here till April we must only tell Martin they stop in March so that he can target other fish as well.

Best time Bronzie- Oct to April just before the rain start.
Kob- same as bronzie
Steenbra-June to Sept

Best month for fishing must be Feb. After the south easter has dropped.
