Got this from Warwick to post:
Good morning Stef
Had the privilege of visitng your neck of the woods on a extremely cold saturday with a light rain that was persistent from the time we got there till the time we left.Got there at around 8:30 am and took a walk around pietie se huisto the back bays, water was extremely clean so we looked for turbulent water.First throw i managed to get a dassie not big enough for a pan and returned it to the sea.My brother decided to go to the rocks as the tide was still pushing and his forst throw on semi fresh redbait,he was about to lodge his rod in the rocks and when he struggled getting it in he looked up at his tip and bamm vas with this 69cm species, what a fight as he had to bring it through a 2metre gully and over a kelp bed, took him about ten minutes to land it,was great fun, this was the only pic i could take as i only had a fone camera. My day came to an early end as i put so much pressure on my 3 pice exage rod that the sinker snapped and me standing with the butt in my hand, luckily i could retrieve my top half of the rod as the wave broke in fornt of me and brought it out,top 4 rings damaged ,not to sure if any damages/cracks in the tip area,so i`ll have to be shopping soon for a new rod.
have a great day
