Overberg Angling

Hi

I am new to fishing in the Western Cape and would like to try from Hermanus to Die Dam. Any advice of what can be caught where this time of year and what baits to use?

I'm not an expert in the area, however I have heard that the guys got some galjoen en Steenbras (Pearly, Uilenskraal). A local told me past Saturday that the anglers did get the occasional Stenie on U/kraal. We will be fishing the Overberg this coming weekend if you want to join us (at this stage I am not 100% sure where we will start, depending on the weather).
Only advise, put on your walking shoes and "scratch" around everywhere, you will find a gallie or 2.

i usually fish Pearly beach area for Kob in the morning and late afternoon. There is nice kob around the 5kg mark around, and all caught on Sardine chokka combination.

I am going there again next weekend
