Fishing has been absolutely superb these last two weeks on Awesome Charters in Struisbaai. With great weather we had the opportunity to spend quite a bit of time on the water, mostly at the 6 Mile bank (Blougansie) and at the 12 Mile bank, but we also had the chance to hunt cob on the shallow reefs.

Most of the trips were out to the 6 mile bank where plenty of yellowtail were shoaling. Most of the fish were caught while trolling small feathers behind the boat, but we also managed some fish on spinners and jigs. Both these last two methods were responsible for a lot of fun. Getting feeding yellowtail on a spinner and light outfit always produces exhilirating runs and lots of encouraging shouts from other anglers.
