Hi Everyone
We had a super time in the Cape and even tried our hand at a bit of fishing at Macassar, unfortunately with no luck, even though a few bronzies and cob came out all over the place, including a monster bronzie of 240kg.
The weather in Struis this past few days did not play along with the anglers and the wind kept most of us inside, but this morning is absolutely stunning. I was at the waters early trying for an early season cracker but the nibblers kept on taking my bait. No chance hooking them with a 6O!
The guys that went to Witsand the past weekend caught a total of 13 different species of fish and Martin had a run in with a shark that is still on the way to China. At Stilbaai a few nice fish came out and the white musselcrackers apparently won the fight 9 - 1 with a fish of 13 kg being landed.
Fresh Bait in Struisbaai
Fish and More in Main Rd Struisbaai will have stunning fresh bait in from after lunch today, so if you are in the vicinity and angling here the weekend please make a turn there.
Small Yellowtails, lovely Prawn, Whitemussel, excellent Mackerel and sea frozen Chokka will all be available at excellent prices.
If you need a lot of bait for a competition or just for the holidays then give them a call on 082 9210 345 or 028 435 7096 and please mention Overberg Angling.
