  • sandheel : Back at work. Nightshift tonite. Will hit da beach this weekend. Loads of kingies out at bodasingh's dip the past weekend.
  • Stefano : Hi Guys - safe and sound in Simons Town. A lovely day in the Cape
  • Samspaul : its unfortunately gonna cost me... guess a small price to get my reel back....
  • Martin : Paul, free or cost?
  • Samspaul : handed my exceller in this morning, apparently they will put in new stainless bearings for me... sort of a salty upgrade haha...
  • Martin : Morning Paul, its called re-location.
  • Samspaul : morning all, have a great one. wish there was a way to find a job down in the cape so I could be closer to the sea, really needing time to get out and contemplate the end of my fishing rod
  • Stefano : All packed and ready to go. Have a super day everyone.
  • Martin : Morning all u fish heads, greetings from a cooler CPT, should have had a slide bait out already. Stef drive safely, will phone u later.
  • Stefano : We almost packed and ready for our trip to CT. Just wish I could fit Arendse in as well :(
  • amberjack : Biggi what's the biggest fish you've caught?
  • Biggi : Ha ha think i must come down there for a day and try this out....
  • amberjack : Stef, Martin, Wep and lots of other Forum oaks are good at this. Martin makes excellent shark traces when he's supposed to work by the way. lol
  • amberjack : Cast 9 ounce grapnel sinker as deep as you can, clip on bailt and slide until it stops at sinker.....then wait. Sometimes quick take, sometimes long wait, but still fun
  • amberjack : Biggi BIG Bait, BIG Hooks, Steel wire, lots of line, deep cast, hard fight BUT worth every effort.

Newsflash

marine_dynamicsGreat White Shark Cage Dive for 2 people sponsored by Marine Dynamics in Gansbaai. This fantastic prize, valued at R2500, will be given to the best shark caught during the 25 Species Angling Competition. This does not mean it will be the biggest shark, or the shark worth the most points, but the most interesting shark landed by an angler in the competition.

A panel of judges made up by Stef, Cyn, Playon, Santiago and Shimano will decide the eventual winner. If any of the judges are in the running for a prize he or she will be replaced by another angler on the panel.
